Germany international Manuel Neuer has told Chelsea who they should sign this summer as a matter of urgency
After securing fourth-place in the Premier League at the end of the 2019/20 campaign, Chelsea will have their sights set on securing an even higher finish next time around.
Following Frank Lampard’s appointment as Chelsea head coach just over a year ago, questions were raised about what the Blues would be able to achieve under a manager who had yet to sample life as a coach in the Premier League, despite having established himself as one of the best midfielder’s the Premier League has ever had the pleasure of witnessing.

However, Lampard defied the odds to lead his side to a top-four finish, securing Champions League football for next season.
Whilst securing a top-four berth isn’t an achievement that should be ignored, the Blues will have their sights set on challenging the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City for the Premier League title next season, with the club making some very loud noises in the transfer market.
Having already secured deals for both Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner in recent months, the Blues have now moved onto their next targets, as they look to try and build a squad capable of establishing itself as the top dog in English football once again.
football.london understands that Chelsea have identified Bayer Leverkusen starlet Kai Havertz as their top target this summer, with talks between themselves and the Bundesliga club continuing to rumble on.
Whilst adding Havertz to their ranks would be a terrific signing for the Blues, it is the defensive ranks that need bolstering most.
